Arctic Monkeys - Digipak

From looking at Digipaks, finding an Arctic Monkeys one is good for me as I may need to have a similar style come designing mine. 

 The Album name is favourite worst nightmare which is a contradictory phrase however a smart choice by Arctic Monkeys as it shows a scary feel to the album but also how it is a favourite worst nightmare in which the use of the word favourite is clever as the album being called worst nightmare it would come across as a scary name and less attractive to the audience. Being called a 'favourite' makes the album sound a little more pleasant and more attractive to a potential consumer of the album. 

 The titles on the front cover of the CD are in a bold font but withstanding a creative feel by setting an almost spiky feel to the lettering. This combines to match the album name as it is creative like a dream or a nightmare could be but also in a lighter colour to make it stand out and attract a wider audience when they see the album cover.

 As I'm looking at this it is quite clear to me that general house colours are reasonably dark styles of a colour basing round darker green, black, grey, and white which immediately gets a picture into my head that when designing mine I should be able to get these colours in or similar styled ones to suit the scenery I have shot my music video in and to create a overview of what the audience can expect from the product I have made. 

 There are a couple of images either side of the CD on the other two layers which show a lit up room inside a dark view

from outside the house. This would probably represent the album title as the title is Favourite Worst Nightmare and the picture shows how the images inside are very surreal and how the photo is based at night time it is basically quite clearly represeting a nightmare and it shows pictures of nice things mostly to encourage the fact it is a favourite worst nightmare. something else it could show is that this could show that what people look at the band and think its boring because they dress in leather jackets and jeans and darker colours and that the band are generally black and plain coloured but still cool, however what people can't see is that their lives behind those clothes are exciting and fun like everyone else's idea of fun would be.

However it is more likely to show a literal image of a 'Favourite Worst Nightmare'.
